When does each model make sense?

easyEMG is ideal if you:

  • Want to invest once with no recurring costs
  • Need flexible sessions — from a quick 2-minute check to detailed analysis
  • Want your clients to enjoy the measurement (gamification)
  • Plan to use multiple tablets across your facility
  • Value instant usability — no mandatory training

A subscription model fits better if you:

  • Only want to test the system for a few months (under 17 months)
  • Need an iOS app (easyEMG runs on Android)
  • Require certified medical device software for your specific use case

Premium systems make sense for:

  • Multi-modal needs (EMG + motion capture + force plates)
  • Research projects with high channel counts (8–32 channels)
  • Enterprise requirements with centralized data management

Common comparison questions

Why no subscription model?

We believe in fair pricing. A one-time purchase means you pay once and use the software indefinitely — including all future updates. No price shock after 12 months, no cancellation needed.

Is easyEMG a medical device?

No. easyEMG is a biofeedback and analysis software, not a medical device under the EU MDR. The PicoBlue hardware by Cometa is a CE-certified medical device (Class I).

What hardware do I need?

PicoBlue BLE sensors by Cometa (2- or 4-channel). Optionally available as a bundle with easyEMG — saving you 50% on the app license.

easyEMG is not a medical device under the MDR and is not intended for diagnosis or treatment of diseases. This application does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or therapy. The PicoBlue hardware is a CE-certified medical device.
