EMG Biofeedback Training

5 interactive training modes — motivate your clients with visible muscle activity and gamified biofeedback.

What Is EMG Biofeedback Training?

In EMG biofeedback training, clients see their muscle activity in real time on screen — learning to activate muscles more precisely, relax them, or use them symmetrically.

Unlike passive applications, biofeedback training requires the client’s active participation. This increases motivation, body awareness, and training outcomes.

The 5 Training Modes in easyEMG

easyEMG biofeedback training: RAMP UP mode with 4 sensors
RAMP UP — clients follow the ramp
easyEMG biofeedback training: 4-channel target zone
HOLD — 4 channels in the target zone

HOLD — Maintain Contraction Level

The client holds a defined muscle tension over a period. Visual feedback shows whether the target level is reached.

Use: Strength building, stabilization, isometric training

RELAX — Targeted Relaxation

Goal: Lower muscle tension below a threshold. The display shows relaxation level in real time.

Use: Visualize tension, train relaxation techniques

RAMP UP — Progressive Increase

Gradual increase of muscle activity following a predefined curve. The client follows a visual ramp.

Use: Neuromuscular activation, progressive load increase

RHYTHM — Rhythmic Contraction and Relaxation

Alternating between contraction and relaxation at a given rhythm. Trains coordination and timing.

Use: Coordination training, movement control

SYMMETRY — Left/Right Balance

Compares muscle activity on both sides in real time. Asymmetries become immediately visible.

Use: Train bilateral symmetry, visualize muscular imbalances

Gamification: Why Clients Stay Motivated

Biofeedback training only works if clients participate long-term. That’s why easyEMG uses game elements:

  • Achievements — Milestones for training progress
  • Streaks — Consistency is rewarded
  • Visual feedback — 3D avatar with real-time heatmap instead of abstract curves

The result: Clients understand what they’re doing — and want to come back.

FAQ

Do I need training to use biofeedback training?

No. easyEMG explains each mode directly in the app. SENIAM-compliant placement guidance walks you through electrode positioning. More: EMG Without Certification

Is biofeedback training a therapy?

Biofeedback training supports clients in consciously perceiving and controlling their muscle activity. easyEMG is a biofeedback and analysis software, not a medical device under EU-MDR.

How long is a training session?

Flexible — from 5-minute checks to 30-minute sessions. You determine duration and intensity.

What does easyEMG cost for biofeedback training?

€2,500 one-time for the software. All 5 training modes included, no additional costs. Details: Pricing
